The MIL-DTL-26500 (M26500) specification covers lightweight, environmentally rugged, medium-sized
connectors. With a durable design and the ability to perform in high temperature environments, these connectors
are suitable for use in a broad range of commercial and military aerospace applications, including avionics,
missile systems, aircraft engines, and firewalls. The connectors are also highly versatile and can be
manufactured with a number of different shell construction types and contact sizes.
There are several variants of connector associated with the MIL-DTL-26500 designation. All plug and receptacle
variants are available with threaded and bayonet style coupling. Each is also available with a different mounting
style, including solder flange, single-hole, and square flange. In addition, these connectors have 34 different insert
arrangements, allowing for their use with virtually any application.
