Series II – 100 MHz to 1 GHz, minimum attenuation of 45 dB
MIL-DTL-27599 (M27599) circular, miniature, and high-density connectors are best suited for interconnection
applications in harsh environments. These connectors use fixed-pin and socket contacts with solder termination
and are designed to ensure proper orientation of mating halves prior to electrical circuit closure. The connectors
also feature a bayonet coupling and quick disconnect for ease of use.
There are two series of MIL-DTL-27599 connectors. Series I connectors are scoop-proof and designed to protect
contacts from damage during handling. Series II connectors are non-scoop- proof and feature a low silhouette that
helps minimize size and weight.
The MIL-DTL-27599 specification also covers plugs and receptacles. The plugs can come with or without spring
fingers that make shell contact prior to or after contact engagement. The receptacle can be box mounted, wall
mounted or jam-nut mounted.
MIL-DTL-27599 circular connectors are intermateable with applicable MIL-DTL-38999 Series I & II connectors.
