NASM20995 (MS20995) Safety Wire – Mil-Spec Wire & Cable
NASM20995 (MS20995) safety wire is an industry standard safety or locking wire with a wide range of uses. It is used in the aerospace industry to secure hardware on critical components that are subjected to vibration and other forces which can loosen fasteners and cause a safety risk or damage to the aircraft. NASM20995 is also used as a break-away wire in applications where it is critical to determine if a fastener has been adjusted or tampered with. NASM20995 conforms to ASTM, AN, and MS standards which makes it a reliable choice in most industrial, commercial, and even household applications.
A.E. Petsche offers NASM20995 safety wire in several different materials for rust resistance, strength, or pliability properties:
- F = Carbon steel, zinc-coated
- C = Crescent or stainless steel
- N = Nickel alloy
- NC = Nickel copper or monel
- CY = Copper
- AB = Aluminum alloy
Our MS20995 safety wire is also available in different diameter sizes (.015” – .091”) and comes to you in protective canisters or convenient spools.
